Open Positions:

Library Aide II – Circulation Services
20 hours/week

The Portage District Library is seeking a friendly, detail oriented individual to join the Portage District Library’s Circulation Services staff as a Library Aide working in a busy customer service area. The successful candidate should be a self-starter who can work independently to perform a variety of clerical and customer service tasks. Functions include greeting/assisting library users, communicating/applying library rules and regulations, completing membership registrations, collecting fines, and processing/re-shelving library materials.

Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
•Available for some evening and weekend hours.
•Friendly demeanor with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
•Strong computer skills.
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
•Effective oral and written communication skills.
