Michigan Activity Pass

Explore Michigan with free experiences provided by your library!

Michigan residents have the opportunity to explore hundreds of state parks, campgrounds, museums, and activities for free or a discount with their library card. The Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) program allows library cardholders throughout the state to gain free or discounted access to more than 450 destinations around the state. Try it out during your next trip or weekend outing.

To get started, visit the Michigan Activity Pass website and press the “Get Pass” button on the upper right corner. You will need to enter a ZIP code, address, or destination as your starting location. Select the maximum number of miles you would be willing to travel from your starting location and the name of your library. A tutorial is available.

A list of participating locations will appear on your screen. Select “pass options” for a specific location and click “get pass” to see availability. A library card number is required to complete your pass request.

Many reservations can only be made up to two weeks in advance. There are a limited number of passes available at each location. If your preferred location is “sold out,” then you are encouraged to explore another location on the list.
