PDL Board

The Library Board is composed of seven members. The role of the Library Board is to represent the interests of library constituents.

The Purpose of the Board


  • Set the library’s millage levy
  • Control expenditures
  • Establish policies
  • Appoint and oversee the Library Director
  • Guide the future of the library through long-range strategic planning

Meeting Dates


The Library Board meets in regular sessions on the 4th Monday of each month beginning at 6:00 PM. All board meetings are open to the public. To view the board meetings virtually, a Zoom link to the meeting is provided on the meeting notice which is posted on the front door of the building and the homepage of the library’s website. The meeting notice and agenda packet are available by the end of the day on the Thursday before the meeting takes place. Special Meetings may be called by the Library Board Chair as needed and are posted on the front door of the building and on the library’s website a minimum of 18 hours prior to when the meeting takes place.

Please note:
There is no board meeting conducted in the month of November.
In 2023, the March, May, and December board meetings will be held one week earlier to accommodate scheduling needs and holidays.
