Effective Monday, April 29, we are pleased to be able to offer the following:
New Weekly Schedule of Staffed Hours in the Makerspace
Mondays, 5pm-9pm
Tuesdays, 9am-5pm
Wednesdays, 1pm-5pm
Thursdays, 5pm-9pm
Fridays, 1pm-5pm
& Most Saturdays, 1pm-5pm
Any time we are open and don’t have a scheduled program in the Makerspace, equipment that can be used without staff presence is available for use. Check our Event Calendar for times when anyone can drop-in to work in to the Makerspace and get assistance from our staff without an appointment.
We recommend scheduling an appointment to guarantee that the equipment you want to use is available when you arrive at the library. You can schedule an appointment to use Adobe Creative Cloud software, all of our digitization equipment, and using our Cricut.
The Heat Press, Large Format Printer, Laser Engraver, and the 3D Printer are equipment that you can only use during Staffed Hours or by appointment. Please contact createandmake@portagelibrary.info if you have questions about using those devices.
It is not necessary to schedule an appointment to use the button maker, the sewing machines, or the Creative and STEM Kits. Those items are drop-in items only.
